he was on a boat with shark invested water. the boat was torpedoed an the Philip and they went on a little boat with a big black man who had worked for the ship. he ended up on a barren island, they begin a amazing adventure. the man showed Philip how to do everything.philip became blind. The main character in the story is Philip. Philip lives in Curacao. The setting is on a Island . This happened In the year of 1939. The problem in the story is that German people are on the Island where Philip and his family lives so they are frightened that Philip might get hurt by the Germans. They want him to stay close to home. but the other problem is that his dad wants to stay but his mom wants to go back where she thinks its safer over there in Virginia.
February 8, 2011 Because Timothy doesn't want to give Philip any more water and they have to eat raw fish. He blame's his mom because she wanted to go back to Virginia because it was safer.

1. He told philip to stay away from the edge of the raft because there was sharks in it. 2. He try to burn cloth and light it on fire to make smoke. 3. He fall because he thought that he could see and stud up so fast and he fell off the the raft and Timothy had to jump in the water to save Philip because there was sharks in the water. 4. he wants a bigger island instead of a small raft and there was palm trees and there could have been fresh spring water. 5. I would stay on the raft because it is smaller so you can keep warm and also because there are sharks in the water so if the raft tips we will get eaten alive.

Philip uses a walking stick to walk around the whole island.2. he is trying to make Philip independent because he is trying to make Philip help him because he might die.3. timothy says that stew cat is bad luck so he does something that Philip doesn't like he thinks that Timothy is going to kill stew cat.4. Timothy carves out a wooden figure of stew cat he thinks that will help.

The sound that Timothy hears are the sound of the surf and the sound of the thunder. 2. timothy ties the tin box to a palm tree and the water keg last they have a big meal. 3. a hurricane hit the cay and it was very cold strong and it did massive damage to Timothy. 4. he pertects philip by putting his body on philip to keep him safe. 5. he gets cut up and extremely dameged and hurt. 6. I think that he feels sad and lonley because he has only stew cat. February 23-2011 i predict he is going to live. I think that he is going to live on this island naked. I think he is going to miss Timothy. I think he is probably going to kill stew cat. At the end he is going to stand at Timothy's grave
