In the TheCay he lives in Caribbean. During WWII I think 1942. Were Phillip lives is taken over by the germans and Phillip thinks that his navy come and save him.(U.S. Navy) When Phillip goes to bed he sneeks out and gets the hatchet because that is the only thing to fight the germans.
